Spears School receives largest donation ever to a university entrepreneurship program

The Oklahoma State University Spears School of Business announced today a transformational Amy and Malone Mitchell IIIgift that will create a state-of-the-art entrepreneurship program within the Spears School.

The Spears School’s share of the $57.2 million gift from Texas alumni Amy and Malone Mitchell III is the largest donation ever to a university entrepreneurship program.

”The Mitchells’ gift will be a catalyst for infusing an entrepreneurial culture at OSU that will convert intellectual capital into entrepreneurial activity that creates value for the state and region,” said Sara Freedman, Spears School dean.  “We can’t thank Amy and Malone enough for what this means to OSU, our students and the state of Oklahoma.”

Puterbaugh Foundation, Links and accounting donors fund two chairs and one professorship

Oklahoma State University announced today $1.4 million in donations received from alumni and a foundation to fund three endowed positions within the Spears School of Business.  Once fully matched dollar-for-dollar by T. Boone Pickens’ $100 million chair match commitment, as well as the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the gifts will provide more than $5.6 million of impact in endowed funds.

Former SSBTV producer captures storms' beauty with documentary film

Pat Ball, Oklahoma State University broadcast journalism senior and former SSBTV producer recently completed a documentary called “Chasing the Storm,” which will air on the international cable channel Current TV and http://www.current.com within the next two weeks.

Gift will create the Greg Massey Professorship in Finance

Oklahoma State University announced today a $250,000 gift from Durant, Okla. resident Greg Massey to create a finance professorship at OSU.  Once fully matched dollar-for-dollar by T. Boone Pickens’ $100 million chair match commitment, as well as the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the gift will have the impact of $1 million in endowed funds.

Oklahoma State University has announced a $1 million gift from Stillwater residents Mike and Robbie Holder to create an entrepreneurship super chair at OSU.  Once fully matched dollar-for-dollar by T. Boone Pickens’ $100 million chair match commitment, as well as the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the gift will have the impact of $4 million in endowed funds.
