IT Case Competition winners attend national conference.

Kinjal Hate (MSMIS), Fernando Mayorga (MSTM), Pramoda Bangalore S. (MSMIS), and Mihir Pakar (MSMIS), winners of the first annual Spears School IT Executive Interaction Case Competition recently attended the International Telecommunications Education and Research Association annual conference held in Atlanta, Georgia.While attending the conference students heard from the CIO of Coca Cola industries as well as other leading telecomm professionals.

Pakar stated this was the best conference he had attended and was impressed by the presentations. Professional Development Program administrator, Dr. Lori O’Malley also attended the conference with students as well as Graduate Programs Assistant Director, Jay Boyington. O’Malley related that this was a great opportunity to learn from the conference, but also to get to know this student group better. The group mixed in some fun with learning and toured the CNN Headquarters, Coca Cola World, the Olympic Village and the Atlanta Aquarium. Bangalore added he thought the best part was having an authentic Indian meal with O’Malley – her first experience with the delicacies of India. “I thought it was great! I was worried about the spiciness, but did just fine!” O’Malley added.

In addition to attending the conference, each of the students received $250 in business apparel.
