- Mexico City in the 21st Century
This program provides an exciting introduction to the culture, history, business climate and beauty of central Mexico. The course will begin on Nov. 15, 2009 with independent study through readings and video lectures via distance learning. The group will visit in Mexico City, Puebla and Acapulco for historical and cultural immersion including visits to the Teotihuacan pyramids, Castle of Chapultepec, Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace, stock exchange, etc. While in Puebla, the group will visit the city of Taxco and tour silver mines. Additionally, campus visits and guest lectures will be provided at UPAEP and UDLA, two Mexican universities. Students also will experience colonial Mexico foods, festivals and markets.
